East Coast Canadian Wine Appellations

On the eastern coast of North America, in the northern valley of the  Appalachian Mountains, the Canadian uplands and plateaus along the Saint Lawrence River valley from the Atlantic ocean and the Great Lakes. A limestone and clay-based region, similar to the French wine regions of Savoie and Jura, with continental and coastal climates, cold winters and warm summers, Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia provinces’ produce a diverse portfolio of wines around the Maritimes.
