A Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distillery located in the Scottish burgh of Dufftown in Moray, Scotland.
“In the summer of 1886, with his seven sons and two daughters by his side, William set out to fulfil a lifelong ambition. Together they began building his Distillery by hand, stone by stone, he names it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer. After a single year of work it was ready and the first drop of spirit falls from the copper stills on Christmas Day 1887.”
Dufftown in the glen of the River Fiddich is destination ‘whisky capital of the world’ along the Scottish Malt Whisky Trail, winding country roads pass castles and farms with a scent of salty air and oak barrels.
