Vitis vinifera wines (including many grape varieties, varietà di vino, variedades de vino, cépages, weinsorten) are prized for their complexity and terroir-driven characteristics, each contributing unique flavors, aromas, and textures to wine. Vitis vinifera fruit produces grapes with thin skins, high sugar content, and balanced acidity.
